Meager finds to date

I gathered up all the gold and silver rings I have found the past 4 years and sent them off to the refiners.

I did get photos first, though.

Not bad, nice bunch of jewelry. You should be proud of those finds.........:clapping:

Nice lot of jewelry there. Hope the precious metal refinery treats you right. Thanks for sharing. HH, Nancy

Awhile back Nancy recommended Midwest Refiners. It worked out well. Thanks for the tip!

I sent these items in on Dec. 30th. Today there was a check in the mailbox. I figure less than 2 weeks is pretty darn good time on their part.

The grand total was $262.00. The silver amounted to $19.00. I think it was a very fair settlement, about what I roughly figured before I sent them in, if not slightly better.

This was the first time I have done this. I would not hesitate to use Midwest again, and would recommend them to anyone. Just make sure you do the shipping right on your part, and they'll take care of you. They even enclosed a return label for the next time!

The only thing I might do different next time is keep the silver, or have them send a coin instead.

Glad it worked out for you. If you want a silver coin, etc. Take your $19 and go to any coin shop and they'll have silver ounces there or whatever you want. Even older Silver Dollars!!!! Cool! HH, Nancy

You did pretty good Scott. I haven't sent any of my gold to the refiners, but with the economy the way it is I might have to let go of some. HH Dennis in Idaho

We've not sold ours either. I'm wanting to have a bracelet made with all the scrap gold. Been saying that for the past 5 years...... I need to find the right jeweler with style! My jeweler recommended one, but he's a good 100 miles from here. Maybe a camping weekend trip??? HH to all, Nancy
