Me thinks that XLT-user is holding out on us.......:bouncy:

I did do a grid search Vlad suggested....Nothing great in finds just proved F75 is capable of finding items in trashed park.

He said it worked great.....I tried to tell him all I could remember.....But I lost your Pm.If you get a moment can you repost it please to me.

Hi Vlad:

My Uncle Elton showed me a thing or three with the abilities of the F75 in iron.. He must have gone to the same school you went to.
He actually made it work better using the iron for getting better depth.. He said I had a lot more to learn before I was ready for trying that..I agree.

I Have about 12 years experience he has 30 or better.

I can't recall everything i did. I followed your very good directions marked out a area and took the large 11 "coil. detected all directions up down side to side and diagonal.Got coins mixed in with trash.had to turn the sens way back on the 11"coil.. Found several old green Wheaties..Right next to and in holes with pull tabs and assorted junk. Really thought I had cleaned the area. switched coils to the only available 6" coil......Wow..Just thought i had cleaned the area. Started getting deeper coin signals..( Yes you read right "Deeper") The little coil let me hear more coin targets with the trash..Sens at 46 and at times raised up to 48......Found a total of 7 Wheat cents, clad dimes several, zinc cents must nave been 8 9 at least.. Some were on edge (All Variety) coins. These coins were detected at depths of 7 inches and some more. That was with the 6"coil. I then put the 11" coil back on the machine and found two Wheat cents at 9", and one little over 11"......
Sens set at 40........You can as Vlad suggested to me grid with the F75 and find targets you missed, and also targets you would not hear with other detectors. Now one thing I did have a problem with..Round Pull Tabs with the large pull handle still attached..F75 every time read them as if they were a coin....69- to 74 readings..That one I can not explain..They were at depths up to 9 " on all pull tabs like mentioned When removed from the hole and checked for target..they still read like a coin..Maybe they are not aluminum, but some other metal..My thoughts are if it were a seated dime..I would have found it. Bottle caps read in all over..55 to 69 but the feo went up, and the consistency meter never pegs out as a confirmed target when it's a bottle cap...You can also raise coil, either one and get great depth reading on bottle caps..Much more than on coins....15 to16" inches on large DD 11"coil.......So you can pick to dig or not to dig. I am telling you though..watch the feo, and consistency meter and you will never dig a bottle cap...I would also like to point out..This was all Vlads suggestions, and his knowledge of detecting that got me going in the right direction in trash..Without his vast knowledge of how to, and his "Real" understanding of how the F75 circuitry's works I doubt I could have made it work. With all the targets you hear (Like no other machine) you could give up real quick..He guided me well..Also my Uncle knows a thing or two, and he added some of his experience..So thanks Men...With you guys and an Excellent machine(F75) I am having better results than I have ever had..Now all I need is more areas to apply all this stuff..and some old lost Silver sights.I thought it important to add about all the help I had from over the Forum. Vlad spent lots of time. It's guys like him who truly make this forum what it is.."A great place"....

Try to find one of the oldest areas, now least accessible-there has to be silver, and nickels of some varieties.
The secret is that the junk mask the good targets, so dig all non ferrous junk-maybe this time start with the
6 inch loop first. If you are really feeling adventurous, cut squares of sod at least 12 " square by 8 to 10 " deep
and even remove iron and get your small loop down in the bottom of the hole & see what comes up. You might
be pleasantly surprised. Then just replace the square back in its hole. This makes for an interesting experiment.
Chart your experience and what you recovered, including trash, like a survey.
Hope you find some gold- you never know; the way you describe the park it is a lot of terrain to hunt. Make sure
you hunt north and south, then east and west.
[Run 0 disc in whatever program and use delta pitch-it really does help, and short fast swings do work as opposed
to the recommended long swings-if you want to isolate individual targets by holding the loop above, use Stat mode;
also running the loop back and forth in Stat will cause extreme spreads in iron targets, but conductive numbers stay the
same-in this mode you are using one filter as opposed to two in the motion modes.]

Considering this area is a park..I can not do the cut out plug experiment. They would hang me. RANGERS WOULD BE ALL OVER ME !!!

But I will try some of the other things you suggest.

and dig one 12X12 plug? Then quietly dig another? You may need to choose your time.
I carry a trash bag full of broken glass, shredded aluminum from the mowers running over it,
live rounds, hypodermic needles, crack pipes, pieces of wire; many things surface, some partially
buried but sticking up-and of course all the tabs & caps and other trash-you would be
surprised how it can make a difference at the way we are seen. I guarantee the park people
don't pick it up. Volunteer to help any law enforcement agency; keep clippings
of people who have, or people who have found rings lost for 50 years and returned them to the
owners. I've been on TV 3 times and in the paper 8, including the recovery of an M-16 stolen from an NG
Armory used in a murder/robbery.

I know this is a different make, but can you borrow a Whites 5900, 6000, XL Pro
with the 5, 6 or 8" loops and hunt in TR, [ no motion] using that mode to ground balance manually
making it a gb vlf TID?
