We hunted a very OLD park today that i'm sure has been pounded over the years. It was cooler than normal. Decided to use the 6x10 DD coil . Found my usual assortment of CLAD (lots of pennies) but then near the back of the park got very very lucky and the MXT hit on a strong signal - 1944 GW about 4" down. Later found an odd coin - 1993 Trinidad penny. ??? It was a special day since my 2 sons accompanied me (ages 5 & 6) as they 'assisted' with some diggin' and the DX-1 probe. THANKS for viewing. Good Luck. CCH

A "special day" for sure. It's wonderful to hear that your two boys went out with you also. That made for one heck of a special day. BIG congratulations on your 1944 quarter and what an unusual Trinidad cent. What a pretty coin too! Thanks for sharing and HH, Nancy

Awesome finds. I can't wait 'til my little guy is old enough to detect with me. He,ll be 2 in Nov. I went out a couple of times in my own yard and we had a great time but every time I needed my digger or pinpointer, they were nowhere to be found.... he likes to run with stuff so you can chase him... Have fun with your boys while they're still young... you won't regret it..... Have a good one!!! Jack

When you bring your treasure with you (your boys) you can't go wrong. Nice hunt. I'm still looking for my first silver GW quarter. Maybe if I bring the kids...?

Scott,

Good to hear from you as you've been kinda quiet lately ??? I was pretty 'pumped' about the GW quarter. I was lucky. It was my first and only one thus far. It was great to have my 2 boys with me!! I only get to see them every other weekend since the X decided to move on after I returned from Iraq a couple of years ago.

I would basically remove the headphone jack from the MXT Pro so they could hear the good signals. They loved the digging and working the DX-1 pinpointer. Maybe I'll look for a used Coinmaster or Prizm for them to share. Thanks for viewing. CCH
