Me & The 550 and Another New Park :detecting:

Sorry for the late post but I've been busy and have a lot of catching up.

I happened to drive by a park that I have never tected before and man was I glad I stopped.

The soil was clay with just a dusting of black earth and the grass was deep.Ground was very wet...lots of pooled water.

I was hunting all metal mode since I never hunted here before and was glad I did. I was getting junk readings (Iron) yet was finding some nice clad. Not sure what the triangular serrated edge thingy is but was kinda neat.

Gotta hit this place again. Its a fair size park and good for about 40 hours of tecting.Lots of two and one dollar coins.....nothing old.

Always nice to find a new spot, Spanky.

The triangular piece is a mower or combine sickle section.

n/t

The triangular shaped thing - its a "section" from a sickle bar (mower), which is a piece of farm machinery for cutting grass, grain, etc.

There are many of these riveted to a flat bar, side by side, to make a "knife" which may be commonly (older ones anyway) about 5, 6, or 7 feet long, which then mechanically moves back and forth.

Are there any parks where you guys dont find such goodies?? Maybe Canucks just have more loot to lose. Here in the south, everyone is broke and got no nuttin in their pockets!

I'm surprised as well.

I just cannot understand how someone could miss a $2 coin if they dropped it.The $1 coin I can understand as it blends in with sand and leaves and can be easily camouflaged.

If we ever come out with a $5 coin you may want to move up here.....
