beach in the am. Taking a brick hammer to pick axe the stuff out of the semi frozen ground.:rage:

Have snow here but no snow banks to probe in the near by parking lots.

Got my propane torch ready and will take a thermos full of hot water to take along in case the green machine snags a ring and I wanna take it out a little more gentle.

Cheers !

Well I got off to a poor start this morning...my wife had a honey do list and I never got out till noon. When I drove to the beach I forgot my hammer...paid for it because my arm is killing me right now.
:stretcher:
The sand was very soft the first 6 feet from the edge of the water and gradually got harder with the frost. I'd say that at 15' from the water edge it was almost concrete.:rage: At 60'it started to get soft again which was ok because a lot of people walk in this zone so I checked it out. The pictures show a silver ring I found with some kind of cheap looking blue stone. I took some photo's of coins I found frozen in the sand. Well......for 4 hours in the field I didn't have much to show for it. Lots of scrap metal.Tommorow is suppose to be mild out might try one more time because the weather is going for a nose dive for the next 10 ten days.:rofl:

Cheers
