Me and my two loves

I let one of them go three years back and got a newer model.

Very nice GTO. 65? I use to have a 69 GTO Judge. Oh how I miss that Goat.

Yes it is a 65, but not a true GTO. It was a 6-cyl. Tempest cloned to be a 455 4-spd GTO. I sold it 3 years ago and bought a true 67 GTO convertible that I am now restoring. I hope to get it painted in 2 or 3 months.

Sorry fyrffytr, you left yerself wiiiide open for that one
One sweet goat there bud

did yer Judge have the formula 400 in it ?
My freind had a '69, not a Judge, that did have the formula 400 in it .
That thing was a serious ground pounder !!!!!!
Two drawbacks tho, it was a rag, and we could never figgure how to keep the rear end under it in a hole shot.

Oh yes, it had the mean 400 in it. Could that get up and go! Thinking back, I can't believe I'm still alive. I didn't let too many boys beat me and I ran with the best. What a muscle car for sure! Last I checked, it was in a storage warehouse sitting pretty and they wanted $48,000 for it and that was years ago. And to think I sold it for $1,500. :rage: Here's a picture of one exactly like the one I use to have.

I had to keep the wife. She's a matching numbers Georgia Peach. I sold the 65 and bought a 67 GTO convertible that I am currently restoring.

That color reminds me of a very heart breakin incident i once saw.
Back in the mid 80's a young fella came into our shop showin off his '65 that he jist finished restorin'
It was that color blue. And it was her maiden voyage.
He pulled out of our lot and was sittin at the red light when
some knucklehead slammed into him from behind and destroyed his car.
He just stood there and cried.

That's gonna be one sweet goat when she's done.

understand what real horsepower is with thier rice burners.

I hope to get the car painted in a couple months. I still have to finish up the A/C work and install the exhaust system that I am picking up at the car show next Saturday.

That's why I want to get it done. Then I can re-live the good old days and make some new memories. I might even keep this one!
