ME AND MY F-70 TOOK A SPIN IN THE PARK

WELL MY FIST TIME OUT WITH THE F-70, HERE IS HOW IT WAS, FIRST BIG PLUS ( NO BOTTLE CAPS AT ALL!) NOT LIKE THE 75, I DID GET A FEW PEICES OF PULL TABS 3 OR 4 , I WORKED THE DETECTOR FOR 2.5 HRS I A PARK THAT HAS BEEN HAMMERED BY EVERYONE ANS MYSLF ALSO, SET AT DISC. UP TO ZINC AND NOTCH BACK IN 5 CENTS , DUG ANYWERE FROM 8" TO 13" VERY LITTLE JUNK. , A FAIR AMOUNT OF COINS, DUG A SILVER RING AT 8" AND A 1901 IH CENT AT 13" . HERE IS A BIG PLUS OVER THE 75 WITH 75 POWER LINE NOISE WAS BAD THERE IS AN INGROUND LINE IN THE PARK AND WITH THE 75 HAD TO DROP THE SEN. TO 40 AND COULD NOT GET WITHIN 30' OF THE LINE- WITH F70 RAN THE SEN. AT 90 ALL THE TIME AND I WAS ABLE TO WALK RIGHT OVER THAT POWER LINE AND NEVER HEARD A THING, I THINK THAT THE F70 IS A MUTCH BETTER DETECTOR FOR PARKS THAN THE 75 THATS MY 2 CENTS

Thanks for the review! Really interested in this detector as a simpler alternative to the f-75. Your posts would be MUCH easier to read if you wouldn't use ALL CAPS please.

The F70 is sounding like a good machine, I'm glad to hear it's handling interference well.

The C$ I'm using seems to be prone to interference issues, which means reducing SENS to 1-3, which is nuts. More often then not I seem to have to reduce the SENS to something really low to either handle bad ground conditions or interference issues, sounds like the F70 would resolve that. I'm not a relic hunter, the F70 is looking like it might fit the bill.

Keep posting your findings, this is good info.

Loop and not the DD? Reports from Fisher are that it was sent out with the DD? Also, what SPEED did you hunt at?
Personally, I like all caps-easier to read.

Either on the surface in the field, or buried back home? If so, how did it react?
Seems like the Concentric coil may be the answer, because from reports from :fisher: the F-70 is a stripped down F-75.:beers:

Vlad whats the purpose of fisher building a stripped down F75..and what features is it missing compared to the F75..In tought
the F70 would be a little weeker machine..But from Dennis reviews it seems to be a more Deeper and more quieter machine
that could hurt major sells of the F75 ..hummmm..Whats the thinking behind this ..hummmm..

I dont think the 70 has the modes "ie JE, Stat" etc. Also i dont think it has the same kind of notching as well as coil. Going to be interesting to see what it can do.

the slow mode was designed for deeper coins and the high gain Jewelry mode on the F75 does not gain much if anything on coins according to the reports. The F70 also uses a concentric coil as stock vs the DD of the F75. That in itself should allow a bit more depth and better iron discrimination if designed properly. It will be interesting to see how they handled the audio on the F70 on deeper targets. Coin detectors tend to have a bit more saturated audio vs the modulated (with lower gains settings) audio of the T2/F75.

Like I said just some guesses

It has less features, and fits into a different price range. Being digital, programming the chip is simple. Plus they enhanced
the model vs the competition by allowing you to vary the recovery speed. Using the basic F-75 as the model should still have the same sensitivity. It may be quieter simply because of the concentric loop, and this may be the cause of better bottle cap rejection. The question is what are the differences when it comes to features vs the F-75?
Fisher has thrown down the gauntlet to the competition and now the ball is in their court to come up with better detectors at or near this price.:fisher:

If you think about it, the F70 is Fishers answer to the popular MXT. They advertise it as "13kHz frequency - good for coin shooting, relic hunting, and gold prospecting."
