Were can you get information about Metal Detecting on the Beaches of North and South Carolina?

I don't want to do anything illegal.

Thanks,
Brooklyn

Myrtle Beach you can hunt from the dunes to the water line and beyond. I do alot of water hunting in the area. The state parks you might want to ask at their office. I've hunted the beaches of some SP's but am not sure if they let you water hunt. Myrtle Beach was refurbished this year and there is a lot of sand laying out there and the finds are way down
