Got the itch to go out and do some detecting and play with the E-trac a little. It was already dark, so I figured I'd practice listening for good targets (without the backlight on). Went into my own backyard. Boy is there a lot of trash in my ground!! Really had to go at a turtles pace. My house was built in 1892 and used to be a sorority house for the college. I was out there probably 20 minutes and found three coins, two wheaties 1950 and 1951 and a 1943 Merc. Not bad for 20 min. Here it is Dec. 22 and my ground wasn't hard at all. The plugs I dug literally fell apart the ground was so soft. I'll keep at it till mother nature doesn't allow. Good luck, it looks like it will remain in the 40's next week as well. What strange weather for December, I think the farmers almanac was way off.
