May I whine for a moment?

MrGee

New member
By this time last year I had about 6 weeks of detecting behind me. this year I probably don't have more than 6 hours in. After coming through one of the coldest Marchs on record, it rained all night last night and today it turned to snow. Yep..April 16th and it's snowing. Add to that, the river (which flow through the middle of town) is about a foot above flood stage from all the rain and snow melt. since the whole town is fairly low and surrounded by wetlands, the parks are all either standing water or soupy mud. Oh, and did I mention the the temp is about 35 degrees today?

Okay; Whining is over. Thank you for listening.

MrGee....you can whine if you want. I'm looking at 5 inches of fresh snow in my yard. Like you I might have 6 hours total detecting so far this year. More of this snow really makes me want to puke !

Please send us your snow and rain, Summer is not even here yet and we are already in one of the most terrible wild fire seasons that I have ever seen here in NM and I have lived here all my life. Every time I turn on the tv they are reporting on another fire. If you want you can send some to Texas too they are really bad shape also.

I dont think U should whine about the weather for a moment. U choose where to live and U play for it. Give it one more month down in south america(below the mason dixon line) and we will be whining also. The hot weather is not forgiving and the humidity combined will make U want to move away. I guess we all are whiners consider yourself fortunate at sometimes of the year, but remeber U R allways at natures disposal

I'm in the same boat as you guys. We got 3 inches last night, and expecting more snow for the next 3 days. On top of that it's flooding all over the place, due to the snow melt snow melt snow melt snow....we are getting screwed out of spring! The only positive thing I can come up with is that maybe it will kill some of the mosquito population before it hatches...

If it does'nt kill them, it will only make them stronger....lol !

Sorry guys about the nasty weather. We get screwed out spring too down here in Texas one day it's winter the next it's summer.
Look out your window maybe can see me sweating my butt off.

here in Texas 252 Texas counties are presently threatened or impacted by wildfires. fires have already burned more than 1,528,714 acres and destroyed 244 homes in north and west texas. add to that tornados for 2 weeks in a row and 100 mph winds and it's not been fun down south either,

The temp here on the Texas Gulf Coast has been in the 70's to 80's, it's rough.....lol But then again, our summers are brutal. HH

Dont feel alone snowed over night here in Illinois also. Now
we have snow on top of the mud and water we already had.
;)
