May have my first gold find with the Eldorado...

I found this little bracelet today while searching around the edge of a soccer field.
On the clasp, it has 417 and ASK stamped on each piece.. is this 10 karat?
The entire thing is only about 4 inches long,so there is little weight to it.
Thanks for looking,
Felix

Yes that's 10k gold. Very nice!

Some upscale parent's infant lost that, too bad for junior but good for you. Very cool find, do you figure it might be old?

I don't believe it is old.. it definately was a recent loss.
When the machine beeped, I looked down and saw it lying right on top of the ground hidden partially by some grass.
I was lucky to get a signal on this item.. when I saw it and swung back over it, it didn't give a good repeatable signal.
If I didn't see it, it would still be there.

Thats a sweet little find Felix. Thats got a chunky lobster claw clasp so the eldo should hit it pretty well. Try turning your disc back a little and see if it hits it any better. If it didnt give a good repeatable signal on that piece your passing over the charms and other small gold items.

That is a nice find, felix,

I had my disc set just below the nickel icon.. I'm sure it would've given a better signal with the disc lowered.
It did however give a good enough signal to look down at the area where where the signal came from.
Hope I didn't miss too much with the disc. set where it was... thanks for the tip.

In a real trashy area thats probably a good setting, digging small foil and larger nails can be a killer in some places. But places like tot lots where its not to bad, I usually set my disc to hear an earring really good and that will allow in nails no doubt but that allows me to recover chains and smaller gold. Even the iron setting on my Vaquero is to high for jewelry hunting.
Nice find, gold is always a good find:thumbup:

Big congrats on your first Eldo goldie!! I wouldn't trade mine for anything. Best gold grabber I have used. Great on very small gold also. Nice bracelet.:clapping:
Cheers

In my opinion, foe whatever that's worth, the Eldorado was and is one heck of a machine. Bought mine new a number of years ago and I still love it! Congrats on the find!
