May have found my first Platinum ring

I found this ring yesterday. I didn't think much of it when I found it, just put it in the pouch thinking it was silver. When I got back to the car I looked at it with the loupe. It has 950 stamped in it. However, there are several CZ stones in it which kinda has me puzzled. Why would someone put fake stones in a platinum ring?

Platinum is very non corrosive, but it's conductivity is much lower than silver. So you might try to check it and see where it discriminates out at. Sure looks shiny-- silver would probably be more tarnished.

Whatever it is, it's a beautiful ring. Congrats.

Nice!

I see there is 950 platinum and 950 palladium. Palladium and white gold about the same weight but platinum is much heavier.
