Spent a few hours with the Nox yesterday ended up with a merc, silver ring that's seen better days, a War nickle and a Buff and 6 wheat ¢.
Other finds where 6 clad quarters, 15 dimes, 6 nickles 11 newer ¢

I love Merc's!!!

Wow nice haul Pan how deep was the buffalo?
most all of the older coins I found were about 8" the merc was probably around 7". There was 1 wheat deeper at 9" +/-.
I was finding some clad at 6"+/-. This spot is low and is water logged most of the time.. sometimes too soggy for my liking.
About 30 years ago a friend found a peace dollar there.. I'm hoping my first is still waiting for me to find there.. fingers crossed..
