From what I read they are looking for hunters to hunt the beach or beachs because of nails as was stated. They also stated you could keeo what you found but should contact a town offical. I was emailed a phone number but did not get a chance to call it today.

I grew up not that far from New Bedford but now live in Bedford... believe me when I say there is a BIG difference!

I have been very busy with work, but if you are interested in doing a civic duty B.H., and it is in Bedford as opposed to New Bedford (over an hours drive)give me a call.

Because of the residency requirements it sound like they wanted to pay for this service.

They need the nails and sharp metal cleaned up at a fresh water beach. You can keep everything you find, but must hunt for nails, no leaving them behind.

This is all I know. Dasner phoned me at my shop asking who would do this. I explained I could post it on a forum. This was Wednesday afternoon. If you have interest, I would phone first thing Monday morning after 9:A.M.
