Well, actually, I think I dug more clad this AM than I remember digging in a long time...like 137 targets in 4 hours! And that includes 4 rings, 5 pull tabs, 26 quarters, 27 dimes, 11 nickels, and 64 pennies.
I hit the low tide from 3 to 7 am. Only ran into Big Dave (who had a nice ladies watch he found) but did see two others from a distance. I was hunting the wet sand and shallow water but found that most of the targets were up pretty high in the wet sand...probably due to the positive highs and the negative low. The surf was pretty rough the whole time and like last night, I dropped my Excalibur in the surf one time. That's one of the great things I like having the water machine...not having to take "heroic measures" to keep it from getting wet, should I lose my grip on it. That and just rinsing it off after each use with fresh water, from stem to stearn...very nice. Anyway...as usual, the Excal delivered the goods with two nice gold rings, a couple of mood rings, and enough clad to feed a family of five! At Taco Bell, anyway... And I have to say, I'm a little sore from all the digging. Still roller bladed for an hour from 7 to 8 though...good times.
The diamond ring is a lot like the one I found and posted last weekend (which I sold, by the way...to a lady at work) but it has bigger diamonds and more of them. Looks better in person too...it sparkles a lot more. I'll be keeping this one because my wife likes it.
So here we go with some pics.
