Maui hunting tips

How is the hunting will be staying at the Kaanapli Beach Hotel the last week in September for only a week so I would like to get a little hunting in . Is that a good area to hunt? Should I take a large wet sand scoop or just my dry sand one. What detector is better for the area CTX or the Excalibur?

Take both machines if you plan to hunt everyday, use the Excalibur as the # 1 machine and the CTX as the back up......................

Flying to Maui in the morning. Hopefully I can find time to hunt looking forward to it. Also meet some of the local hunters. Will update site with my finds.

Enjoy the trip! We were there just a year ago today at the Sheraton up the beach from where you will be. The snorkeling at Black Rock is awesome and I saw a guy with scuba and a detector there. He goes by "Micky" on another detecting forum.
