MASTER HUNTER 7 FINDS FIRST SILVER!

For my 2nd and 3rd hunt I got two mercs. 1942 & 43 and 1908 Indian head. Really made me happy although they were very shallow and it concerns me on what I may be missing. Visited my local dealer and tried several detectors and test drove a GTP 1350 along-side my MH7 and there was a considerable difference, mostly in depth (coil size difference?). I also learned that relying on target I.D. alone can allow you to pass up good targets. Well the clunker keeps on clunking.
Here's the treasure:

Congrats on the Mercs and Indian. That old dinosaur keeps plugging away.

Great finds bud. That old horse will find them. You ought to check the forum classifieds and Ebay to see if you can scrounge up a bigger coil for it. Yeah the 1350 has a bigger coil and is more hi-tech than the old ADS.

Those old machines are great. I still have my first one, A Metrotec 220-A. My Dad bought it for my 15th Birthday in 1968. It hangs on the wall over my desk. It gives me a sence of where I began all those many years ago. HH...Jesse.

Hey I broke in on a Metrotech way back in 1964. We have come a ways since then. Metrotech is still in business but makes only commercial detectors.
