Master hunter 5

Just curious, I am thinking about running over to Ron's in Shelbyville next Saturday and picking up a shiny new GTP 1350. Coming from the Master Hunter 5 will I notice a significant difference in the machines? They have gotten smaller, and the notch type discrimination looks like a serious plus. I guess what I am asking is should I take the plunge? I am planning to coin hunt, beach hunt jewlery, and head to SD to do some poking around for gold. Is the 1350 adequate for this? Thank you all, and this is a GREAT forum!

Well, since nobody thinks it would be a step up I guess I'll just keep using the old machine. Thanks for saving me $600.00...

i just got a 1350, i had a 1500 and a 550 before, i like it a lot, its a little different than the 1500. but i'm going out with a buddy with a 550 and i am finding 3x as much as he is so far.
3 trips out and close to $4.00 and a silver ring..
so i'm not disappointed at all.

Thank you! I went out and got me one Friday, and when I got home I tried it out in the back yard. Coming from the MH5 I noticed one colossal difference. NO TRASH!!! I have been playing around with the MH5 in the yard and have dug a ton of nails, cans, and other debris they covered over when building the house. With the 1350 I set it for coins and I found 16 pennies (none special olodest was a '77) but everything I dug was a coin!! Isn't technology great!
