Hey folks,
Hummm.... guess I need to stop in more often. I had to re-register... so I chose a new handle as well.

d2 found a really neat rosette yesterday afternoon. I hope he can find the time to post a pic of it here to get your ideas on it. David at Dixie ID'd it for him as a bridle rosette. It is a great find to me... because of it's fraternal implications.... it has the square and compass motiff, but a few other symbols as well. It's an interesting find, sure nuff. Way to go, d2!

My offer still stands. Please post a picture !

Thanks,

Kim Allen

Here it is. I hope it shows up. I am not in the lodge so nobody tell me anything ya'll will have to kill me for later but in the top left hand corner is a star burst. In the top right hand corner is a crescent moon, bottom right and left is a stem of wheat going up the sides from the bottom. At the very top of the compass appears to be stars circling something, perchance a cross?. You lodge members, if you can can, ya'll tell me how old this is and what the emblems mean? It is the size of a nickel and David at Dixie Metal detectors told me it is a bridle rosette. It is one of my neatest find so far. I found it at a union camp...d-2

Hi d2; if I knew how to post a pic on this new forum I would. But I'm just learning to navigate, like most of us. I also just discovered the new Private Messages section. Very nice find d2. Good hunting, David @ Dixie
