Masks

While detecting with friends in the super top secret Caribbean island that no one ever discloses but everyone goes to (we call that sarcasm), I noticed a lot of tourists using this mask/snorkel from Tribord.

Tribord

I never like to use my traditional mask and snorkel because I always seem to be fighting with headphones, leaking water, mask, and snorkel; yet I understand that it cuts down on my finds not using a mask. Thinking out loud, it seems that having the air piece in the center may stop all the fussing and work better.

Any thoughts?

I bought this mask last year, not owing water infiltration in the usual mask or conflict with the headset but to have a more normal breathing, being able to use my nose and more panoramic wiew. . Immediately this mask infiltrated water inside and I thought that depended on an unsuitable shape or by the straps that are rather slow. After this test never tryed to use it again.
I'll try to use it again, but I think that the straps should be anyway effectively replaced by other stronger.
Thank you for your imput.

Casper has been using one for several years. When he obtained his they were not available in the US and more costly then they are now. He can always be spotted in your favorite water...I saw him one day...went to another beach found gold, went back to catch him coming out. Amazed at his Large cents, questionable gold, and several other trinkets. We both had a great day, enjoyed the hunt and friendship afterwards. The Tribord works for him. He never mentioned a fit or leak problem. Maybe he will chime in later, from FL and tell us how he is doing ...

Is that mask compatible with Hookah Diving system?

NO ... it is for surface snorkeling ONLY. The snorkel orange top MUST be out of the water to inhale air.
It is excellent for what it was made for.
Tribord is the original mask (from France) - others are knock-offs from China.
