:minelab:I am truly speechless .... This is for me, what it is all about. I am still quite stunned at this quick hunt after work today.. Did'nt even know it was a 1914-D until I got home and wiped it off a little. And a 1913 barber dime !! Thank you Minelab !!!!:minelab:

Yes, there was a homestead/farm here at one time. But ... when they redeveloped main street in our little town about 6 years ago they hauled most of the old dirt here and spread it out. There was supposed to be a church built on the property soon after but the funds were never realized. And here it sits, undeveloped and chock full of 100 years worth of everything under the sun that is metallic in nature ... including coins.

Here are more photos of the 1914-D wheat after I cleaned most of the crud off. It would likely be graded "G4 damaged" anyways, so a little clean-up is of no consequence.

That's a great find Dave....................................Finding pennies can pay off big time if you hit key dates, some gold coins hit in the penny range as well.........................................John

I hunted for over 35 years for one and then found two last year.Hope to find another before another 35 years :)

@ G-4 damaged it's still worth a lot more than a penny and it's still a key date, something I'm sure many coin hunters will never find. A treasure for sure.:yo:
