Marko racer

I have a mine lab 705 "for my birthday my wife told me too look for a new detector so it took me 8 weeks and I needed one for $500.00 that would work in Slat wet sand I got the marko racer Boy I have been detecting for 26 years this could not find a dime in one inch of wet sand I would not buy this Detector if they had a buy one and get 3 free thank god for my back up detector.

Where did you get the Racer? Was it new or used? If used, maybe someone sold it because there was something wrong with it. New or used, maybe the coil is bad. I've used the Racer and Racer 2 on saltwater wet beach sand and it should get a dime closer to 6". What coil were you using? What mode? Did you ground balance on the wet sand.
Your post has no information so I don't think you want any help learning how to use the Racer. I think you just wanted to post, to bash the Racer. Otherwise you may have said " Took my Racer to the beach and wasn't having any luck hitting coins more than an inch deep. Help! "
I've been detecting for 42 years and the Racer and Racer 2 go deeper on the wet saltwater beach sand than any other single frequency VLF detector I've ever used. The Racer will shame a 705 on the wet saltwater sand.

My 705 isn't all that bad on the beach, but the Racers are for sure the best single freq I've used for beach, wet and dry. I am with Slick (cue theme).

I have Racer 2 and it is FANTASTIC on the beach...you obviously have no idea how to use it.

Matt.

I get it new and used it for the beach it was a waste of money I know how too set it in slat water I would not recommend this too any body I am going use my mine lab you live and learn I have been doing this off and on for 30 years "I will use it for a anchor on my boat thank god for whites and mine lab Detectors.

n/t

Beachbandit - I could say the same to you.

This has to be a troll. Nobody's spelling is that bad. Slat water? Marko? mine lab?

Not to mention whites (White's) and any body (anybody).

I Get (got)

Maybe you just don't "click" with Makro/Nokta machines for whatever reason. The 705 did not work for me for a couple of reasons. I wouldn't dream of saying it's crap because it's simply not the case. Some people love it and are very successful with it. It just wasn't for me.

LOLOLOLOL.. It's funny because he seems to be a "post whore"..lololololol.. 26 posts in 6 years. I don't post very often, and haven't been on here very long, but I think I've got a few more then that... Has to be a Troll about this. I've never heard such silliness about the Racer..Hey, before you use it for an Anchor, I'll give you 75.00 bucks for it, I can step up and offer 100....to take that nasty old thing off. your hands,ROTFLMAO

I belong to several music instrument forums, and trolls popping up is a persistent problem. However, we usually "catch um" real fast with their written grammer. While I barely passed senior English in HS, it's still easy to recognize an 8 yr old, or a moron.
On second thought, my 7 yr old GS corrects me quite often. Unbelievable how advanced intellectually children are compared to my day.

Sorry for your problems. Hopefully you spend a little time getting help for settings.
Is the Racer that much different than the Racer 2? don't have Saltwater here.

This is now my SECOND MAKRO RACER...I've gotta say it's the most Brilliant of all Detectors I've ever owned over a period of several years... absolutely brilliant...and even more responsive with the addition of a MARS TIGER coil.

Hi to all...I've been a regular user of the original MAKRO RACER red detector for about three years now,but due to unforeseen circumstances I had to sell it...however I got lucky and things got back to normal...so,what detector did I going and purchase...A MAKRO RACER (red)....and sas far as I'm concerned,I beats the mk 2..!!..don't see all the extra whistls and bells...the original and the best....also...Why spend £5:00...when £2:50 will do the job just as efficiently..
Thanks for reading,and good hunting..
