Marking Spots

I think one of the best features of this machine is marking find points. Too dry to be digging around here but I have a couple spots marked that I checked out over lunch messing with the settings that will be revisited once it rains. See you all at the meeting tonight.

I've got a question for you. Are you using your Grey Ghost headphones (I have the same ones)? If yes, how did you get the machine to stop making the noise once you plugged in your headphones? I'm going to include a question for Larry on here too since I know he looks at these posts. Larry you mentioned something about wire wrapping your headphones and they work fine with your CTX. Could you explain this or even show me what you mean this evening at the meeting? I feel it's just easier to ask people within the group who own CTXs. Thanks.

I use the headphones that came with the wireless adapter. I haven't tried my grey ghosts on it yet. After seeing all the"industry standard" posts around on the CTX forum I haven't even bothered trying them out.

Yep but haven't been out with it yet. I've only put some programs in it and getting it ready to go.

Get a hold of me when ever you want to go and we can compare notes. Maybe we can get Larry out and about for a mini CTX classroom for the both of us?!?

Setting find points is a great idea especially in this drought, we can hunt without digging and come back later after it rains.......:clapping:

There are four solutions scattered around on the CTX forum for the headphone compatibility problem. One is to add a jumper to the headphones to make the stereo jack into a mono jack. The easiest for me was to add a wire wrap around the orange and black wires inside of the headphone adaptor, you will need a T-10 screwdriver. Third is at the top of the CTX forum and that is making a flexible stereo to mono adaptor cord and forth is to buy a stereo to mono adaptor at Radio Shack but many of us don't like the adaptor sticking out the back of the CTX. I can get together with your CTX guys most anytime and help you with it.
