Mark 2 VS Infinium

SWMO Mark

New member
Which is deeper, useing the same size coil, on a nickel, salt water beach. The Mark 2 or the Infinium? I dont care about the disc. features, just need to know about the depth.

Depth is determined by a whole lot more than the name of the machine and there is no credible answer to that question other than a wild guess.

Well from my test bed a few years back my Mark II got me 9.5" on a nickle....The Infinium last year on the same test but different State (Or vs Ga) got me 11" solid...12" was iffy.

But the Mark II had an 8" mono coil and the Infinium a 10x14 mono.

In my own personal experience, the MKll has been deeper than the LS. However, in hot ground/heavy mineralization or black sand(beaches) the LS would be deeper.:detecting: Happy Hunting!:)
