Mark 2 VS Infinium

Infinium by a tad....but it is GOLD PROSPECTING machine and will be a bit noisier than the Mark II in the surf.

Oh yeah, man that Infinium will drive ya nuts in the surf. Every wave that comes up back and forth is gonna make the detector sing/threshold go up and down. The Sea Hunter is alot more stable in the surf(which is what it's made for). Like Alan said, the LS is a nugget hunter primarily the can be used for diving.
To answer your question IMHO non-mineralized salt water beach MKll is deeper/even in the wet sand up out up the surf. Mineralized/black sand beach LS rules. Happy Hunting!:)

P.S.
Now, don't get me wrong about the Infinium in the surf. It can be used and I do use it. You can mentally "tune out" false signals and just listen for repeatable signals. Takes some practice and can be frustrating. Good luck.
