March was large cent month here in PA

It's doubtful that I'll ever find an older U.S. coin than the 1794 but the 1847 takes the condition cake. I found both of these at the same site about two weeks apart, both in the month of March.

Wow very nice:clapping:

Wow those are absolutely beautiful coins in excellent condition and your right about the large cents in PA, my 1797 large cent was just found this past Sunday.in PA Congrats and I hope you find some more beauties in the future. Ezra.

I would think that you've got a good chance o' findin some older REALLES in your area.
My one and only REALLE from the western end here is an 1850 half.
I'f they're out here then i'm sure they're in your area.

Jim, A good friend of mine has found two 8 realles here in Eastern PA but I have yet to find any spanish silver. It is on my wish list though. None of the other LC's I've found are near this condition but I think it's because it was lost in such good shape, at any rate I feel blessed to have found such a nice specimen.

Thanks to all for your wonderful comments.

Great finds, both are in real nice shape

I too just found a large cent (1826) here in PA. Unfortunately it was almost worn smooth on both sides. It also had two holes drilled in it and apparently had been made into a medallion for a bracelet. (Durn)!!!

Great finds and the condition of the 1847 is awesome. I can only hope to one day find a few coins that old.
HH

Nice find, I am in south central PA and haven't found any large cents yet, but I have found two King George III half penny's. Just gotta get in the right spot!
