Proceeds of a week of misery! Went in with three water machines and well-stocked repair kit, came out with none working, doing land on my last day. Watch is an Oris about $900, and a decent sized emerald. A few specks of 18k in there as well. Total is about $2800 Canadian.

Wow what a haul, sorry to hear about machines, but you are off to a great start.

Steve

A very clean stone as well, and not chipped as saphires and emeralds tend to get in the water.

That's about it--a 24 hour a day discipline is what's needed to find anything--especially when there are full time pros around. Yeah, I slept--when the soldering was done...

Looks like you need a backup to the backup to the backup to the backup. What machines would die like that? Where was the hunting done?

I've been running the Excalibur II 1000 quite heavily here in Florida for the past two weeks. Been running it at least 6 hours a day every day except Sunday. So far it has held up and is working great. Found two 18k gold rings and a 14k 12 diamond woman's wedding band. I had them appraised and was told they were worth $1700 total. Also found tons of those pesky pull tabs and lots of change.

Not much activity in the water. Water temps in the gulf are now around 64. Should be closer to 70. Weather has kept most of the bling on the beach and not in the water.

I did notice all the gold that people were wearing. Amazing how so many people are so vain that they need to wear the bling. But I guess it is good for those of us who hunt the bling in the water. Now that the water is getting a bit warmer and the air temps closer to 80, I saw lots of older women wearing huge gold and diamond rings walking into the surf. If they only knew how stupid that is to do.

I did see on Lido beach one tattooed obese guy wearing nipple rings and also a huge gold chain and diamond studs in his eyebrows, lips and ears. Each finger had a ring on it. He was wearing Speedos and had a little message tattooed on his stomach. It had an arrow pointing down and a message that said...." A woman's dream". After seeing that, I just had to leave.

The beach sure can be a strange place sometimes.

Amazing finds Clive, but then I've come to expect no less from you!

Fine stone there and the watch-------WOW!!

I sure would like to know the story behind each item you found (the losers side of the story---(I know this is not possible!)--and how you recovered it)

What came from the water? Fresh water/salt? What part of the world were you hunting? What machines?

Once again, the finds are amazing, but the story behind them would be pricless!!

GL&HH Fellow Hunter,

CJ

That all from the TO area? Or did you travel to warmer climes?
