I'm a day behind on posts, as I'm at the mercy of Huntress to take my pics and size for me. Got two lefts when it comes to stuff like that!
Anyway, my adventure began in the wee hours of monday morning at 115A into a 459A -0.9L (2 tide day) and SW winds 5-10. Hit 3 locations on seawall with the Excal and all I could muster was a light bulb socket and a dime and a penny, in the wet sand. There were no targets of density to be found in the surf. There has been replenishment lately and it really sucks! Spent about 30 minutes evaluating conditions at each spot, then moved to a clean surf area and tried the Aquasearch. Spent 1 hour hunting here and it was very quiet. I chunked the nuts from all these locations, except for the bulb socket and coins. Ya'll know what can slaw, pull-tabs and bottle caps look like, huh?

At 5A, I relocated to leadsville, hoping for some gold in the mix. I got out the Excal and went to work. The tide was a little lower than normal and waves were calm, so I headed for the stratosphere in the mine. I was neck deep at times and on my tip toes (quite challenging on target recovery)! There were coins and weights showing, so I felt good about it.

I added 3 more gold colored presidential tokens to my collection, Richard M. Nixon, William McKinley and John Quincy Adams. Maybe I'll eventually find the whole collection! I also recovered an Aquarius token. Total clad count was $2.24. There was a junk childs medallion and it looks like it was hollow and I have 1/2 of the cap.

The prize was mighty deep, can't remember how many scoops to get it out, but more than 2! 14K, 8.5Gs and 3 little ice! I like it! Ever seen barnacles on gold? This ring had some on it, been down there a while!

The nut is complete from this location, with the exception of some REAL KNARLEY can slaw, that I chunked at a break that morning. Finally gave it up at 1215P. May have set a record for longest hunt today. It was a marathon, but it PAID!
