Is it on 11 or 1??? I know on the Explorer 2 it's 1!!! Just not sure on the CTX. Thanks Bud-sc

Bud...if I NC either my CTX or EX2 they each choose the same channel, when testing this out I could assume NC 1 is highest on both. This is testing in same spot, same day,one on,one off, same size coils, similar sens, same coil position.....I think the overall spread between 1-11 is about 2 kHz...

# 1 is the lowest freq the ctx runs at which is better for high conductors and deader to iron . #11 would be the highest freq the ctx runs on better for low conductors but lets more iron through .As to where the machine picks a freq it will pick what the machine is quietest at and stable .

Now judging by what the machine picks for a freq it may be better for high or low conductors but still were only talking about 2khz spread so any channel that the machine picks well be close to the others but the lower the freq you can run at the less iron the machine well see

Higher freq will excite iron more than lower freq that's why the ctx has a harder time at low conductors . sube
