Manual GB VS Tracking GD

Has any one noticed a difference in the performance of the EQ800 when using the tracking GB vs the manual GB. I'm waiting for my unit to come back and was just curious if this has been tested.

Hunt mostly in water from brackish to heavy salt the latter the most .
Have used booth manual and auto ground track and prefer latter.....
Very smooth and deep for me as long as the electrical storms are over 10 miles away.
Love my Nox mine is very sweet ....hope you have good finds with yours ...

Happy trails

Im just a fan of the 0 default. Keeps me where i get a little more chatter near the hard pan and less in the soft. Thats information. Also if its chattering in most cases if you hear minerals.... thats where the smaller gold is. Tracking is ok if it gets to noisy....... like in a raw gold area. But it runs like a roller coaster up and down based on the stratus/mineral changes. You may miss some smaller gold. Manual...... would be my second choice...... but then you have to determine where you plan on GBing..... water, wet or dry sand before getting into the water. Another reason i like the default. All in all thou its kind of like knowing exactly how deep we are digging targets out there in the water. Its a best guess because we dont know if thats as deep as the targets were that day, did it come off the side, or are we crappy PPers.
