Manual Adjustment of Ground Balance Question

Canewrap

New member
Once you've gb'd the detector so that it's neutral to ground, if you want to adjust it a little positive, do you drop the numbers and vice versa for a little negative?

Lower the number for more mineralized soil.

Raise the number for less mineralized soil.

Adjusting the gb to lower # will increase the ground signal and reduce the amount of target signal necessary to trip a beep---however if it( gb)is reduced too much the machine will become unstable-- how much is best depends on the ground minerals. Increaseing the gb # often will quiet down noisy ground.

Ralph, I heard lowering the gr about 5 under is good for silver and 5 over is good for gold. with that said, does that mean my signal will be weaker.,, im in an area the silver coins are deep
