Manticore Update

I am number 23 from the place I ordered. They received 10 so far. So I am down to 13 in line now. Hope soon. THey said they have over 200 preorders.
 
Well I'm out. Cancel 2 orders today.
 
the more people cancel the higher I get on the list and closer to getting one. What if its all they say it will be and then people take the dive and buy one after all? That would make Minelab genius's

Desirable? Hell all they've done is shot themselves in the foot again! Anyone remember the release of the NOX 800??? Looks and smells about the same!!! I think Desirable = Frustrated!!!!!!! and sadly people are canceling orders and moving to the D2 as they can get one of them and the warranty is 5 years not 3. Deus stands behind there machines!

That was being facetious I am still trying to understand “their” minelabs reasoning for announcing the Manticore first then the 700-900 and those are now available where as the Manticore is still only a myth? Leaving people waiting?!

I have a feeling the Manticore was to come out first to dealers and customers. Like you, for me it makes no sense to follow the 700 & 900 with the Manticore. I'm thinking there was a glitch of sorts discovered about shipping time and all Manticores had to be un-boxed, fixed, and re-boxed. Just a guess, however, as two dealers I know quite well appear to be in the dark as much as the rest of us are. I see, though, the UK has started to get some Manticores. Maybe us shortly, eh? Yep Jim that’s why I just bought a 900 I’m happy

The 900 goes for 1100 bucks not to bad I think the 800 was 900 bucks. Since I have the 800 and don't water hunt way to many sharks. Mine will last and when it fails I will throw it away. I only go ankle deep kind of a puss. Water is cold also no neoprene. The only thing that I would want is the expanded ID range other than that I am fine . I will wait good luck all have fun.

I agree… the 900 is not a bad deal especially with two coils.
But I’m with you…. My 800 is doing fine for me and I do not see any need to upgrade right now.
But to each his own….
 
I like to update I’ve had my 800 for a long time it’s paid itself off so I sold it to a friend that wanted to get into detecting so it was a win win for both of us and you can get a better deal than $1100.00 on a new 900 look around start with Rich I will use him from now on great business man to do business with.

I should have my Manticore this week....I placed my order this morning and got my tracking number tonight.
