Managed a 45 min hunt in the COLD

Johnny Cache

New member
I Managed to get off work a tad early today. It was cold, wet, and super windy (my wife thinks I'm nuts). This nice little Barber dime warmed me up though!!

Nice recovery, Johnny. How deep was she?

That was a couple of years ago....... I received a cheque for $9,387.80 from the refinery for my gold. ( about 16 years worth)

Forrest, it was only 4 or 5 inches deep, but it was tangled up in a bunch of roots. I did scratch it a little bit, but it was hard to dig out. Thank goodness for the Pro-Pointer!

John, I remember when you cashed all that gold in. That is awesome...CRAZY awesome lol! And then to buy your wife a car, you're a good man...

Nice minty looking Barber dime

And I gained extra metal detecting privileges to boot ;) Got to include the wifey in one way or another. In my case, she hates metal detecting, but likes the gold and the silver. For me, it's usually about the hunt first, then the finds second.:detecting:

Nice find! Reminds me of the time I found a barber dime, lost it in the same field and never found it again.

Now thats the way to take it right up to the end! :clapping::clapping: Same here with my wife...she thinks I'm nuts about this sport...but doesn't seem to mind confiscating any thing of value!

That's a good looking Barber, JC! Glad you're still able to get out - you're a tough lot up North of the border!
