Man it's cold outside, but

I was getting cabin fever and decided to brave the freezing temps and headed for the grade school down the road from my house. Thought I would see how my SE likes the cold weather and she didn't let me down.:clapping: I tried to detect where the moss was kind of thick in the grassy playground areas as it kind of insulates the ground and it was actually pretty easy digging. Other areas were like cement and I just gave up in those spots. I managed to sniff out two more silver rings and got $1.51 in clad. I have dug several padlocks, but this is a first finding one that had the keys with it. My battery pack was kind of low and thought I could outlast them before the cold finally got to me, but the batteries won. After about two hours and my feet and fingers being almost frozen I decided to head home, but my SE got me two more silver rings and that's a good two hour hunt in my book.:clapping: Thanks for looking and good luck to you fellows if you are able to get out. HH. Go Seahawks:clapping:

Great finds Eddie. I went out for about an hour to do a little testing. I was going to hit a field... got there and it was still hard as a rock and the surface was muddy slick. Went back to the park and did my testing. It sure was cold my fingers were num in a hour. So i got out of dodge and watched the Colts win.

Very nice finds !!

I don't think the moss trick will work up here though. I got -15 F out right now. Just lovely..

Nice rings, Eddie!! :clapping:

We've got cold/rainy conditions down in S. Cal too. I want to get out there tomorrow and detect, but I don't want my machine(and myself ) to get soaked/muddy. Guess I'll just have to be patient.

Congrats,
CAPTN SE
