Man I wish I could "Super Tune " the Bug.

One more knob. LOL.

Maybe if you turn up the threshold on the all metal side to max, and then switch it over to disc it'll carry over, but I doubt it. I'll have to try it. You never know.

....buy a Cabela's version. The lack of non modulated audio gives you an extra inch or two dependng on the targets.
Super Tuning was popular on tesoro models by cranking up the threshold in all metal which would carry over to the disc side and would give a harder hit on deeper targets or...unmodulating the audio on faint targets....it was a cheat as it were. But....you know all this anyway....:)
I keep saying it but.....if you run across an original Cabelas version nab it. You will be surprised at the difference.......not saying you will dig 11"dimes but you may be impressed on deeper silver.
Or not.....your results may vary.

If so, I hear ya about the extra knob. Since the GBSE only has 2 knobs, the threshold is activated when switching to all metal. The threshold gets lower and then goes off when you switch back to discrim, so you really can't 'supertune' it like you can a Tesoro that has an extra knob specifically for the threshold.

Yeah, too bad it doesn't click into disc after the threshold is maxed out, clockwise instead of counterclockwise. Doubt it would carry over to the disc side anyway.
