A little chill and ice, it just seems to keep a whole lotta things hunkered down. For a change, working the edges again, hit a fairly target rich area. More coins then usual on this spot and managed to unearth 3 silvers and 6 wheat cents, in addition to some clad, lead and cents.
My first silver coin this morning was the 1903o Barber Quarter, which, has a full liberty. Not overly deep, probably 5." Then, it was a while before I hit another silver. That one, the 41s Mercury. About ten minutes later, got the clipped 42 Merc. (Yeah, I would have been sick if it had been.)
I have recovered quite a few clipped coins and pieces of, of late. For those of you that may be wondering, although we are a tad slow down here, we have been using lawn mowers for several decades now.
For those of you that may be fairly new with the A T Pro, don't be afraid to dig those clean sounding 77-78 readings. Although a lot of screw caps hit on those numbers, so do a good many wheat cents. Kind of work the target for size and also listen for a kind of clipped tone before and after the nice sounding high tone. If it sounds clean and small, dig it. If it has a clipped tone to it, it is probably a bottle cap. But, even a few of those sound good at some depth.
Stay warm, but don't give up the hunt. HH jim tn
