i am new to the exp.xs i have only had it 4 months and used it a total of 4 hours . our good friends at sunray have the rod right now attaching the x1 probe . this seems like a great unit once i learn how to use it.(like everyone else had too) i also have 2 other units made in texas they are the 2 best models this co. makes and one even talks to you. they even image the size of whats found once you press the pinpoint button. well let me tell you i have never found so many B size pop tops in my life'''''. man am i disgusted. 95 percent of my B size targets are trash . i am realy looking forward to getting back the xs and starting the learning curve because then i will have 2 units to sell on the buy&sell website my good buddie albright has an xlt which he loves that was my ffirst choice before bying the other brand and let me tell you he has found a heck of alot more with iy then i have found with mine ,,,, sorry albright quess you were right BUT I WOULD HAVE STILL GOT THE EXP>XS just have to steal more money out of the little wifeys purse HAHA any responses guys

Hi Robert,
I've had my Explorer for about a year now and I very seldom use my other two detectors any more. Ralph also has my upper rod for the x1 Probe. I also ordered the 8" Stealth coil from him. Can't wait to get everything back and give it a try. This week I'm going to order one of his great coin pouches. Then hopefully that's the end. I'm 65 years old just retired with lots of time to hunt now. Only trouble is after about 3 hours I start to get tired. Hopefully my buying is done, I should have everything I need now. Of course after 8 detectors I'm still saying that. Sounds like you have a Garrett 2500. I never had one but I've heard good and bad about them. I got rid of a White's Eagle Spectrum to get my Explorer and I'll never regret it. I love the Explorer. OK Robert, good luck with your hunting and I hope we're both happy with our probes. I'm sure we will be. Incidentally I use a Vibraprobe pinpointer now which is also great, the only trouble is it ony detects about an inch at the max.

coin shooter i also have the 8 inch stealth. i have not figured out the exp. xs yet but i quess it will come in time sounds to me like everyone on this site had the same problem when first buying the xs. i am 49 not retired yet but i have been on layoff going into my 3rd week problem is the good lord wont cut me any slack its been raining almost every other day so the ground is constantly wet.not good to send electrical signals into the ground kind of like sticking a hot electical wire into a glass of water if you catch my drift. the wife has a nice to do list for me but once the ground dries that will be put on the back burner . well good luck in your hunts
