I posted about the recovery speed a month ago. It is impressive.

As you know, we can't detect right now so I have been playing around with the AT Pro. I have been trying the test with bigger pieces of iron too. I have been comparing it to the omega on some of the tests. I have to admit the AT Pro does a better job when bigger iron is involved. Cant wait to get out and give it a real good workout. Only took it out a few times but it has been cold.

Thanks for the video Bill S and thats is a very impressive. What do U think would be the result of a test after the screwdriver and coin have ben in the ground for 20 years ?

Dont know if the rust would have changed the way it reacted or not. I know there have been posts of people finding iron in the same hole as coins or jewelry. Just recently I found a coin and one of those round rusty slugs in the same hole.

No surprise at all. It has great depth, has great target separation, has great discrimination, works great in both fresh water & salt water and of course it is water proof. Posts have already concluded it likes silver, gold & relics.

There is no such thing as perfection when it comes to metal detectors however, some come just a little closer to it then others..... ;)

Wow I wonder if an over priced E-Trac would do that well

Yes the E-Trac also seen the coin. The E-Trac will go deeper and ID targets better at depth and not false on bottlecaps. But for the asking price and all the features I am impressed with the AT Pro so far........:)

Think it would but good luck if you need warranty work on it. Minelab will fix it some time before the warranty runs out if you are lucky

I have owned several minelabs and have never had a single issue with one. Haven't really heard too much complaining about the quality or customer service.

Had an Excalibur but it was over kill and not near as nice when it comes to the ID features.I believe I will have a new AT Pro come spring:thumbup:

wait till you see what it can do in the field :detecting:

Man you Garrett guys are killing me with this AT PRO stuff. My wife will blow a gasket when I try to tell her I need a new machine.

Why tell her? Also something that works is tell her you made a trade. Worked for me. There have been times I sent a money order that I paid cash with. Don't leave a paper trail!

That doesn't work with me, Mine goes detecting with me and knows all about my detectors, But I don't mind because what I find is mine and what she finds is mine :twodetecting:
