Man I am confused...

Advertised for a stock 8" Tesoro brown donut coil...mine has 5 pins....fellow sent me a 8" brown donut coil...with the white cap where coil wire enters. no decal...looks like the one for the TeJon but it has a long cord..Any idea what in heavens name I have as you can't hipmount the TeJon etc..input appreciated....been detecting for 20 years and guess I will have to call Tesoro on Monday if no input...

Coil cord is darn near 9 feet...longest cord I ever saw on a coil and gosh knows I am not a rookie just a confused oldtimer....anyone have any ideas...

Dan, If it has a 4 pin connector, you have a Coil for the original Lobo...............

Dan, the coil you have sounds correct. If you look on the Tesoro website at the coil selection, that coil comes with an 8" cord. Remember that coil also fits the Cibloa, Lobo ST, and the Vaquero. I would imagine the cord is that lenght so one could hipmount the Lobo ST.

I really appreciate the meeting of minds and indeed its a Tejon..lobo coil as jeff and morerelic 55 relate to....heck I guess it goes back and really tees me off as its like new..... I did check the
Tesoro website and it comes with a long coil also....Heck my Dad was right at 72 still learning thanks to the help of some informative fellows...

Coil was sent to me by an old internet friend and honestly we both thought one Tesoro coil fits all and didn't realize gold units and Tejons etc. have four pins not the standard five pin for coin and jewelry models. We all have the pile of extras and just a Christmas favor gone wrong...I will get it back to him(no harm no foul) analogy...
Again thanks for the help guys and gals and live and learn...

Dan, from what I'd seen when I bought the 5.75" coil for my DeLeon was there's 2 groups of coils....

1-fits the Cibola, Lobo SuperTRAQ, Tej
