We were moved out of ICU and into a private room this afternoon. Brian is already drinking small sips of water, juice and soft drinks, something they didn't expect him to do for a couple of days. The tumor had hit his spinal cord and was bent down the back of his throat a couple of inches or so. The doctor said it would feel like he had his tonsils removed and be very sensitive. Every time he swallows he grimaces and squeezes my hand real hard but it is getting a little easier now. He actually smiled when Carol gave him a new game for his hand-held game.
One thing Brian wanted to do was play miniature golf before surgery so Monday morning he, Sarah and I went to play.

This pic was taken Tuesday morning in the motel room as we were getting ready to go to the hospital.
