Makro racer issue!! :sadwalk:

Well-known member
I have to say the Makro Racer is the best unit i have ever owned ( i have owned dozens) but i recently noticed a issue with my headphone jack if i even pull on the cord or bump it with my hip and ( agane im asumming it could be something esle this) the screen goes into a flashing LO LO LO indication with no noice ect on the screen i have tried unplugging the head set but still acts up The only thing that cures it is shutting off the unit and turning it back on any idea"s. Thank you Paul

"Yeah, open the battery door and check the Terminals...make sure they 'kiss' the ends of the cells perfectly and are not kinked or twisted?
You may find one of them is 'kinked off in a sideways direction? Straighten it with something firm and be gentle and preferably non-metallic"

Hello there!!
Please send a short video along with the serial number of the device to dilek@noktadetectors.com and we will take care of it.

Ok i'm Taking it out today i will capture it and send it too you. i also will look at the Battery area too make sure

Hello i took my racer out today and it did it agane several times but this time it isnt holding the settings weird!! I think it needs too be sent in soon but to who? i got the red racer in a trade so it isn't under warranty any longer :sadwalk:

After examining the Headphone jack and a slight push on the outside i found it too act up. So i decided too take unit apart (easy to do) and found nothing no wires off no chaffed wires ect so all i did was backed (counter clockwise) the nut off that holds the headphone socket in the unit and it took care of issues. Now is Makro aware of this issue i have never tightened or touched that socket ever! all i ever did was plugged my headphones in or out and plugged the socket hole with the rubber cover only when not useing headphones. I think i will sent Makro a little letter too just inform them of my experience.Thank you

they are now

I had a GBP that plastic nut on the headphone socket on the machine was 1/4 turn to tight the screen would do all sorts of strange things back it off that 1/4 turn like a bought one , took my outlaw out the cupboard to start getting stuff ready the plastic screw on the ph's jack was almost off, wasn't like that when I put it in there, stuff moves and sometimes strange things happen.

glad you figured it out and no dramas no sending back etc.. that's the last option really isn't it.

yes I will put that bit of info in the bank if ever needed. thanks !!
