Makro Racer 2, Silver and Gold ID.

Hello, I have received a Makro Racer 2 to make it my only all-terrain machine, for my field and beach hunt.
The first impressions on field have been very good and I have to keep on getting to know him.

But....
In an air test in my house the targets ID of the silver and the gold do not correspond with those indicated in the instruction manual. I have used chains and rings. And I've used the All Metal, Two Tones and Three Tones modes. The coil is the 11x7 DD.

In my test THE SILVER indicates an ID 70-80, but according to the user manual it should be ID 91-96.

In my test THE GOLD indicates an ID 10 - 25, but according to the user manual it should be ID 38 - 55.

However, the tests of currencies of Euros and cents of euro, if they correspond with the ID of the user manual.

I would like to ask who owns a Racer 2 if my machine is defective, and I encourage you to do the tests in their homes.

regards

Hi....I just tried it and got about what you did ...38 on large gold and 24 on small gold.....got 80-81 on silver......air test

There's a lot of variables in metal detecting. Gold will test from high iron range to silver range depending on its size, shape and percentage of actual gold.

Silver, in the ground, from my experience on the R2, will typically range from ~ 84 and up. A lot of that depends on the depth, ground minerals, other trash in the ground, and other unknowns that can and will affect the TID.

You probably would get the similar results that are in the owner's manual if you used the same gold, silver, and the ground they were planted in. Plus their same Racer 2 settings. Their printed readings may have been an averaging of ID's during testing.
