Makro Racer 2 Settings

Racer2Guy

New member
Hi all Racer users , I'm new to this forum and I'm recently swinging the new Racer 2 I'm wondering if anyone with experience on this detector can shed some light
on how too operate it on the beach which settings works best on dry sand and also wet sand ?? Thanks guys

I'm no expert lol.
But beach mode is best for saltwater beaches and allows the machine to ground balance lower than normal modes.
Are you swinging on saltwater beaches?
As a rule of thumb you want to try to either keep the coil inside or outside of the water and not go in and out because the waves do funny things.
My best advice for saltwater beaches is ground balance on dry sand then hunt the dry sand. If you move to wet rebalance. Also any time you think it will help balance it. The racer 2 makes it so easy it can't hurt. But always rebalance when you change terrain. In your case from wet to dry to under water.
But there's a guy on YouTube named diggerdan who likes the nokta fors relic and racer 2. He has a beach test he did with the racer 2 that showed how great it performs on the beach.

Sorry I couldn't be more help and I look forward to hearing how it works out for you.
Happy hunting!!

Beach mode for the wet saltwater sand, Two or Three Tone Mode for the dry sand. On the dry, try: Gain at 95, ID filter 10, No Notch, Iron volume 0. On the wet I've found the Beach Mode using factory defaults works very well.

Only 2 out of the 5 search modes I use.

2-tone for fields etc

beach mode for wet and dry sand.
