Makro racer 2 problem?

Just purchased the racer 2 after a few months use of the racer 1,starting to get used to the new target id's,I've noticed that when I'm pin pointing the meter won't go below 5inch even if the coil is rite over the item,has anyone else noticed this or is it just mine?

I've just tried it again and it seems to be working normally again

lowest number I've seen on mine is 5....wondered about that but I really don't care....

I changed it over to inches then centimetres a few times and all seems ok now

Just chalk it up to user error.

I left mine at centimeters, it's more accurate.
