Makro Racer 2 Overloading / LO Battery?

New to the detector and haven't seen any post on this here, but yesterday went out to do some detecting and learning at the same time.. I was dealing with metal screw off bottle tops and when I went to the pin point mode it would overload as long as they were with in 3" away, I know this would or should be normal.. My question is though when it would over load in pin point if I used the pinpoint mode while overloading for more then 1 sec it would show LO Battery and wouldn't return to any detecting mode unless I turned it off and back on then the battery would return to full power, was a new set of energizers.
Any thoughts???Normal???...hope not!!Thanks in advance!

Some of the early production Racer 2's, not all of them, did have that issue. I know I did with one of mine and I have heard of a couple of others. If you bought it used and have the original purchase paperwork, then send an e-mail to Dilek and ask her what can be done.
