Makro Multi Kruzer and EMI

COINHAWKER

New member
I am interested in the Multi Kruzer but have some questions for those who use this machine. Can it easily identify U.S. clad/ silver dimes, pennies, quarters, half dollars accurately? Can the machine go deep on these targets? How does the Kruzer handle EMI/ overhead power lines. Thanks everyone!

COINHAWKER, I took my Multi Kruzer out for its first hunt Saturday afternoon. One of the first things I noticed about it was how well it locked onto targets with very little variation in target ID.
I think once you learn target ID's of different coins, it will be very accurate identifying different coins.

Depth on coin sized targets is not a problem with the Multi Kruzer. I was hunting an old home site in a farm field with targets everywhere with plenty of iron mixed in. One target I dug was a tiny
.22 short brass at a solid 8 inches deep with a solid repeatable signal. I live in West Central Illinois with great black dirt with low mineralization and your dirt could give different results, but I believe
you will find the Kruzer to be a deep machine also.

Across the road from where I was hunting is 4 large grain bins that had the dryers running drying grain, plus a transformer on a nearby pole. Never heard a bit of EMI noise out of the Kruzer.
It ran nice and quiet with sensitivity setting of 80 and running in 3 tone mode at the default setting of 14 kHz.

My thoughts on the Multi Kruzer after initial use:
Pros:
Machine is lightweight at 3 pounds
Build quality is very nice
Versatility to hunt coins, relics, or in the water
Built in rechargeable battery system (detector is fully charged out of the box)
Wireless headphones
Nice selection of factory coils available
Excellent performance, very fast recovery speed
Great company that has a presence on the detecting forums

Cons:
The only thing I have found after about 2 hours use, and this may sound petty, but with the price paid for the Multi Kruzer, you would think they could have put 25 cents worth of padding in the arm cup.
Other than this, the Multi Kruzer is going to be a big seller for Makro / Nokta.

I agree joe dirt... I got my Multi Kruzer on Fri. With everything this machine offers a little cushion would have been nice. I will have to add something to it to make it comfortable. No other complaints that I have found...
