Makro Kruzer Protective Screen Cover now available

My Multi Kruzer didn't come with the thin film on the display. I contacted Dilek and was told they now have a protective screen cover that protects the screen and touchpad controls. I just ordered one in.

When I got my Kruzer, the protective film looked like it was removed and someone attempted to put it back on! It was a mess.

I used a phone screen cover. Where can we order the factory cover????

Mine should be here today according to the tracking #. Its called Makro Kruzer Protective screen cover and the part # is 20000793 if you search for it. It should be available at you're Makro dealer. It protects the screen and the push buttons, just what I needed.

I just got the protective cover, it fits nice and protects the screen and touchpads, I keep a similar cover on my Impact.

Mine should be showing up today. I ordered one as soon as I saw this thread!

The Kruzer has a large front screen. When I got my Kruzer, the installed protector looked like it was removed and put back on, meaning it needed to just be taken off. I bought a tablet screen protector and cut it to fit.

I'm OCD when it comes to my units. I like protecting it to where if I ever trade them, they are in next to new shape even though I've really, really used them.

Thanks for the screen shots of the control box cover. Now I know what I'm looking at receiving by the end of today!

You're welcome, I'm the same way, I like keeping my machines protected.

MK face plate

I am hoping to get a face plate like in picture number 7. My face plate was scratched really bad on the second hunt I had with my Multi Kruzer. If I can't get one I will put the detector in the garbage. Having so many scratches is annoying. I wished they would have shipped with at least a peel off screen cover. If I have to send it back to Makro in Turkey to have it installed that too will be a no go. I'll have to mark it down as a 749 dollar mistake. I like the detector but the screen scratches easy. Sad part is, I've only had the detector for 4 weeks and just got the 9.5x5 coil.

Kajunman.....contact your dlr.....what you scratched can be replaced by you....think its called a screen cover sticky....old one peels off and new one installed...
Dealer should be able to sell you one...No need to send in all you need is the replacement part....

I have been waiting 3-4 weeks for a screen protector and coils to become available from Kellyco. I won't use my multi Kruzer without it. It's very disappointing they have no clue about anything when you call.

Be careful with Kellyco. Twice they had an item listed as "in stock", I ordered it, and then........nothing. Call and it's "I don't have them and don't know when they'll come in."

I cancelled one order, talking to them on the phone. A month and a half later, BAM! a charge on my card and item shipped out, all after I had the item in hand from a reputable dealer.

Be careful. There really are good dealers out there.

They are waiting for Makro to ship them the covers.

I ordered it preorder when I ordered my machine. I also contacted MD.com and asked about their status. They wouldn't help me unless I gave them an email address. Said it was necessary for an answer. I refused at the time. I have since ordered the cover and a few other items from my trusty guy in Turkey to make it worth his time. I should have just done that from the beginning.

I contacted Dilek about 2 weeks ago in reference to the coils and cover. Her response was they have them. *Shrug*

I used clear plastic packing tape over the screen on mine and trimmed the edges. Cost me nothing and works just fine.

That's not a bad idea. My machine looked as if the screen protector from the factory was peeled off then stuck back on. I just like the idea of the plastic myself. Saves the buttons and all. Residue would worry me the most.

Makro is sending me a new face plate. Their service, especially considering being in another country is top notch. When I ordered the detector, I ordered an extra lower rod and the smaller DD coil. The extra lower rod came with the detector and the extra coil arrived later. Can't wait to get the new face plate. When I change it, I will immediately put a cover on it.

Is this a replaceable item? Please share with the group the process to change it. I would thing the whole box would have to be taken apart and somehow resealed..

I will let you know when I get it.

@colonialera I got my cover today. It's just a stretchy square with plastic? No straps to hold it on?? I just want to make sure I have the correct thing.

Well I changed my face plate today. It's the whole square rubber piece around the edge and the face itself. Interesting process to say the least. I feel 1000% confident I can dunk it in water and will have no trepidation about putting it in the shower to rinse off. Took about 30 minutes because I didn't want to mess up anything.
