As many others, I see lots of things when I'm out swingin' my Tesoro...

Just kinda put 'em in my pocket, toss'em on the bench when I get home...

Then the bench overfilled... by a lot.
So now there's little containers and big containers all over dah place w/junk in 'em.
Then I had to CLEAN my clad, to get rid of 'em.... it always gets to be a long story!

That's really cool.

Where did you get it?

How much is it?

I want one?

Oops, that's not a question.

Oh well.....

Thanks for the pics,

That is really cool rmptr, nice pictures. Steve.

I dunno how I keep goofing up on the pics/text..

Anybody see what is wrong with what I typed in?

I'd like to get it right, so I can present a nicer post for you'all...

TD, I paid $30 for this one at a flea market... about what it's worth.
Had to do a little fixin on it, and coax it a bit. a load of copper is really too heavy for it.

Pulltab, this is kinda the average or small size for rock tumbling...
The little HF models are so small you could probably only put in about a hundred coins because of weight.
Then you gotta put in filler, to make up 2/3 to 3/4 of a load for proper action.

Mine is a 6lb'er. Pretty good size.

Still learnin' here, but I'll post as I go along so others can avoid my blunders!

Very nice tumbler and I like your rocks! I use a Lortone tumbler and fish tank gravel. I had not thought of TSP die it work ok. Right now I am using Dish washing machine soap.

Thanks for the pictures. They are fine to me, Beale.

The dishwasher machine soap probably good bet, Beale...
No suds!

I got 40lbs of TSP, I use in my biz, so I dropped a chunk in the mix... and I used FAR too much borax. It was a mistake!
And I used coarse riverbed sand, because it was available.. aquarium gravel probably better.

I have flushed the whole load after getting the major cleaning done in maybe 3 - 4 hrs, then put in fresh water and the cleaner.
That's when I check my pennies for any wheatbacks...

The dollar store has pretty good plastic colander for rinsing over a 5gal bucket.

I think it might be best to dry 'em off in the sun, on an old towel, also. I put a drip of vegetable oil on top of the pile and mixed it in...

So far I've only run the pennies.
Haven't done shiny metal coins yet.
