Making a tesoro water proof

Has anybody here done it and what all do I need ?
Doing a lot of searching and it looks like the first thing is a blue sea cable clam connector. and an otter box. #3500.
Not too sure if I need to make the headphones waterproof. Or just use another cableclam connector on the other side ?
Anybody here want to throw around som suggestions to me on this project. I have about 2-3 months before I'll need a water machine.

Im in the process. I got the 3500 otter box and I bought a 5ft extension cable im going to run that into the otter box and use epoxy as a seal for the extension and I got a cheep pair of garrett headphones im going to epoxy int the box to then I just have to put the control into the box when I want to be water proof. I also got a fishing fanny pack that holds the otter box perfect. Im just waiting on the 5pin conector for my compadre thats going to be my water machine with an 8" coil. Ill post pics and more info when im done.

Nicely done. what box is that I love that you can see the detector through it got to advertise.

wan to tell me what you did ?

One of the things I did not mention. Coil cable was somewhat short. So now where the control box is mounted now, the lower shaft can not be fully extended. If you need to extend it more, the clip-on box could be moved to the center shaft.

Great job!! I want one. I wonder if you could use a heat gun on the clear box to make it a tad higher to fit the compadre fit with out shaving it?

I would think so.

May need to use the larger box but not sure if it be too buoyant?

This one also has inexpensive water tight connectors since only the cable passes through them, not the whole connectors for the cables.

Very nice indeed. I've done this type mod using an otter box and also a pelican box. and just recently did a few headphone mods. The idea's are endless.
