Well sold my X-terra 705 and got an E-trac coming soon. Found a good used one and put a deposit up till I get paid on the 1st and pay it off. I have been wanting an E-trac for some time but the weight has always been an issue for me. Today I ordered the shaft clamp for my harness that I used with the CZ-5 and will use it especially on long hunts. Very excited to see if the E-trac can find some deep silver I might have missed !!

The weight was a problem for me at first but I shortened the shaft and swing close to my body and now can swing all day.

you will not be disapointed. The e-trac will smoke the 705. I had Marsha's 705 for 3 weeks and just sold it the other day and ordered her an AT pro. The 705 just did not get for us. Prepare to have a whole new world of detecting opened up for you. Any questions feel free to ask..

The x70 or the 705 is no slouch, I felt I had mine mastered and was highly impressed with its performance.....I would put it up against ANY AT pro user.

I was so impressed with the x70 that I didnt think the etrac could ever be a better detector. Took me a long time to finally get the etrac. I have had my etrac for 2 yrs now and still have my xterra, why? Because it is an awesome machine and a superior backup machine.

I do know alot of 705 users love them, but it just did not work for her and she had been using an ac 350 and F-4 so I sold the 705. What I do know is side by side checking signals against the e-trac it had a real problem with coins that was not that deep. Now if I decided to keep it and use it I am sure I could have learned to like it, but I am just trying to keep her happy. If I sounded like I was knocking the 705, I apologize. That being said I would still take my e-trac over the 705. By the way, great site you have. The TTF info was great.

I wish I could have afforded to keep both but it was either or so I went with the E-trac because I felt that I had gone as about as far with the xterra as I could go. Needed a challenge to take me through the hot summer months here in Texas. The 705 is a great machine and will be missed !!
